Settlement Overview
- A proposed Settlement has been reached with the VSL Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“VSL”), to resolve the legal claims relating to Plaintiffs claim that Defendants falsely represented to consumers that the formulation of the probiotic VSL#3 that Defendants sold during the Class Period had been proven in clinical tests to be effective for certain medical conditions. Plaintiffs also claim that consumers who purchased VSL#3 during the Class Period overpaid for the product. Defendants are companies that licensed, marketed, and sold VSL#3 during the Class Period.
- The Settlement Class includes: All individuals who are purchasers of VSL#3 between June 1, 2016, and June 19, 2019 (the “Class Period”).
- Under the Settlement, VSL has agreed to provide certain benefits to Settlement Class Members who submit valid and timely claims.
